When sitting in a sauna, you expect to sweat, you may see pictures of people drenched when coming out of a session to even the person before you. There may be times where you step out of the infrared sauna feeling like you barely broke a sweat even at a high temperature setting, and question - does this even work?

It’s important to remember the difference between a traditional sauna and an infrared sauna. In a traditional sauna your body responds to hot air and humidity causing you to sweat. In an infrared sauna, infrared wavelengths are absorbed into the body and raise your core body temperature from within to break down toxins and induce a sweat response.
