Infrared Sauna + Chromotherapy

Healthy, healing heat

Infrared wavelengths are the invisible part of the sun’s spectrum consisting of near (NIR), mid (MIR), and far (FIR) rays. These rays have the ability to penetrate human tissue. This characteristic makes infrared beneficial because it heats the body directly at the core rather than simply warming the air around you, resulting in a deep, detoxifying sweat at the cellular level where the majority of toxins reside.

Sunlighten’s far infrared technology, Solocarbon, is the only infrared sauna heater on the market clinically shown to raise the core temperature nearly 3 degrees. What does this mean for your health? You will experience the most detoxifying sweat, lower systolic and diastolic blood pressure, and aid weight loss through waistline reduction.

Near-Infrared (NIR): Near infrared light is naturally found in sunlight. In an infrared sauna it is delivered through LeDs, which allows for the most effective delivery without heat, so your body can receive the benefits without becoming too hot. NIR benefits include:

  • Cellular health & regeneration

  • Skin rejuvenation

  • Tissue & wound healing

  • Pain relief

  • Enhanced circulation

  • Immune support

  • Minimal heat with maximum benefits

Mid-Infrared (MIR): Mid infrared wavelengths are slightly longer than near infrared, meaning they can penetrate deeper into soft tissues, like muscles and joints. Mid infrared is delivered at a specific range to maximize therapeutic benefits while maintaining a comfortable temperature. MID benefits include:

  • Pain relief & muscle recovery such as soreness and inflammation

  • Improved weight loss

  • Improved circulation

  • Improved joint health & mobility

  • Detoxification

Far-Infrared (FIR): Far infrared is the longest wavelength in the infrared spectrum, it can deeply penetrate into the body up to 1.5 inches below the skin’s surface. This deeper penetration is what makes infrared so effective for promoting detoxification, relaxation, and whole body benefits. FIR benefits include:

  • Detoxification

  • Relaxation & stress relief

  • Pain relief

  • Improved circulation

  • Immune support

  • Weight loss & metabolism boost

  • Skin health

  • Pregnant

  • Cardiovascular conditions

  • Recent injuries or surgeries

  • Heat sensitivity or conditions

  • Pacemaker or medal implants

  • Chronic conditions such as diabetes, kidney disease, or liver conditions.

Can I bring a friend?

Yes! Our infrared sauna can accommodate 2 guests at a time, select Duo Infrared Sauna session when booking for 2.

What should I wear?

Our infrared sauna is in a private room, allowing you to bring clothes to change into. For the maximum benefits minimal clothing is suggested so the heat can penetrate your skin directly. Loose, breathable clothing such as shorts and a tank top, bathing suit, or wrapping up in a towel are all good options for the maximum benefits.

Am I still getting a good sauna detox if I’m not drenched in sweat?

Absolutely! Even if your body is not drenched in sweat, your body is still detoxing from harmful toxins. It’s important to remember the difference between a traditional sauna and an infrared sauna. In a traditional sauna your body responds to hot air and humidity causing you to sweat. In an infrared sauna, infrared wavelengths are absorbed into the body and raise your core temperature from within to break down toxins and induce sweat.

It can take time or sessions to sweat. Everybody’s body is different and depending on your body’s level of adaption to heat, the time it takes to sweat and the amount of sweat can vary with each session. If your goal is to sweat, drinking water and staying hydrated prior to your session can help produce sweat over time.
